Freeman’s Major League journey began when the Atlanta Braves selected him in the second round of the 2007 MLB Draft with the 78th overall pick. He made his MLB debut with the Braves in 2010, and his first career MLB hit arrived on Sept. 5, 2010, against Florida Marlins pitcher Clay Hensley.
