Smart is reviving its iconic compact spirit by unveiling the Concept #2, a tiny electric two-seater that signals a return to the brand’s original city-car ethos.

Smart is officially heading back to the streets with the announcement of the Concept #2, an electric two-seater unveiled at the 2026 Beijing motor show. This new model aims to recapture the nimble spirit that defined the brand when it first launched the iconic City-Coupe back in 1998.

A Return to Compact Foundations

The Concept #2 serves as a preview for the production version set to make its public debut at the Paris motor show this October.. Measuring just 2792mm in length, the vehicle is the longest iteration of the two-seat lineage yet, edging out the previous 2695mm models..
