  2. I mean Juneteenth is important, but why in Chicago? I thought Galveston was the whole point. Like aren’t they supposed to open it there first or something? Also Barack says “hope” every time, so that’s cool I guess.

  3. Honestly this just feels like a fancy tourist trap. Like a towering museum and a library branch… ok, but is it gonna be free or you gotta pay like $50? And why do they always make everything a big celebrity event, even when it’s supposed to be about history. Last enslaved people were freed after Union troops, sure, but then they open some building and everyone claps and forgets.
