The Law & Order: SVU star. 63. was among the famous faces present when Swift and Kelce. both 36. said “I do” on Friday. July 3. inside New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Swift and Kelce wore bespoke Christian Dior Haute Couture ensembles, while Hargitay and her husband, Peter Hermann, matched in black.
For the occasion. Hargitay stepped out in a halter dress paired with a silver choker—and unveiled a newly chopped bob designed to sit just right for a night of festivities. Her hairstylist. Chris McMillan. shared the transformation on Instagram on Sunday. July 5. celebrating her new look and laying out exactly how he built it.
“Fresh ✂️ for @therealmariskahargitay for the Taylor n Travis FUN,” McMillan wrote as he described his process. He said he prepped her hair with his “glassy smooth blow-dry spray” from @chrismcmillanhair to “keep humidity out. ” noting that “was 100 degrees that day.” From there. he applied mousse “for lift around the face and crown. ” then used a round brush blowout for a “more polished look” before shaping “waves [and] flicks” with a “@t3micro 1 1/4 [inch] flat iron.”.
McMillan added another step aimed at both protection and staying power: “My pro tip is using @chrismcmillanhair major hairspray as heat protection on dry hair to not only protect the strands but hold style for the long night of festivities.” He finished with balm to create that relaxed. lived-in effect. styling for “added texture to create a ‘lived-in. day-old hair same day edge.’”.
