Isabelle Harrison ejected after Angel Reese takedown Sunday

Isabelle Harrison was ejected after a Flagrant 2 foul on Angel Reese in the third quarter on Sunday, June 14 in Toronto, derailing a tight matchup that the Atlanta Dream ultimately won 102-77. The play—sparked by jawing between the former teammates—came just b
The moment the tackle landed, Angel Reese didn’t have to say anything for the whole arena to feel the sting.
On Sunday. June 14. at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto. Tempo forward Isabelle Harrison brought Reese down in the key while Reese was trying to post up in the lane. It was 6:05 of the third quarter—early enough that the game still had room to swing. late enough that the frustration had already built.
Harrison and Reese had been jawing throughout the game, and the contact appeared to come to a head in that lane confrontation. Reese got up and teammates pulled her away. She appeared to be fighting back tears.
After referees reviewed the play, Harrison was assessed a Flagrant 2 and subsequently ejected from the WNBA game.
Before the foul ended her night, Harrison had been the Tempo’s leading scorer with 17 points. The removal tightened Toronto’s offense even as Atlanta surged.
The Dream finished with a 102-77 win over the Tempo. Reese recorded a 15-point, 17-rebound double-double. Allisha Gray scored 26 points and added seven assists. Rhyne Howard contributed 24 points and three blocks.
There was also a familiar thread in the matchup. Harrison and Reese were teammates in 2024 with the Chicago Sky. Reese was traded to the Dream from the Sky this offseason, and she has been averaging a double-double.
For Harrison, the ejection landed after a return that came later than usual. She has been in the league for 12 seasons and made her season debut last week after dealing with a thumb injury.
The sequence of events matters because it ties together the emotional heat of the jawing with the exact moment the whistle came—6:05 in the third quarter—before Atlanta’s scoring pullaway became too wide to recover from.
In the end, the standings will reflect the score. What people will remember, though, is how quickly a personal collision turned into a sudden turn of the game—and how fast a Tempo night led by Harrison ended with her gone and Reese visibly shaken.

Flagrant 2 is just refs being soft. Everybody jawing then somebody swings, what did they expect.
So she got tossed for a tackle but the article says they were jawing the whole time? Sounds like Reese was basically baiting it. I’m not even hating, just seems like it got out of hand.
I swear I saw this clip already, like Harrison laid it out and Reese did the whole ‘fighting back tears’ thing. Flagrant 2 feels like automatic these days though. Also Toronto down 102-77 like that’s the real story, not the drama.
Angel Reese has been through it but why was she posting up in the lane if Harrison was right there like… that’s on her too. Then they say it was 6:05 of the third quarter and Atlanta surged, so apparently one hit decided the whole game?? refs really influence everything, then they act surprised the crowd reacts.
