Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will work out for the New York Giants on Monday, a source told NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Beckham also worked out and underwent a physical with the Giants in April. Both sides have reportedly stayed in contact, and there’s mutual interest in a reunion, according to Schultz. Beckham, 33, didn’t play in the NFL in 2025. The former superstar wideout last played for the Miami Dolphins during the 2024 season, when he caught nine passes in nine appearances. Beckham
spent his first five NFL seasons with the Giants, who drafted him 12th overall in 2014. The former Offensive Rookie of the Year earned Pro Bowl selections in each of his first three campaigns. The wide receiver position is one of the Giants’ main questions. It’s unclear when New York’s leading wideout, Malik Nabers, will return to the field, as he continues to recover from a torn ACL. Wait he didn’t even play in 2025 right? I mean if he’s still got it, cool, but these WR injuries sound brutal. Torn ACL and Achilles on the same team is wild.
So Malik Nabers is hurt again and they’re bringing Beckham in to replace him… but Beckham last played for Miami in 2024 like 9 catches? That sounds more like depth not a game changer. Also didn’t Beckham already get cooked with the Giants before, or am I mixing him up with somebody else? Either way the Giants WR room is basically a hospital.
I saw this headline and thought he was signing like today, not just working out. But I guess Giants need somebody because Nabers might not be back soon (ACL healing takes forever, like I know people who still aren’t right). Gunner Achilles too? Then they bring in Mooney and Austin and draft Fields… seems like they’re throwing darts and hoping one hits. Beckham meeting them on Monday though, that’s at least good press even if he’s older now.
