Trump Promises “Good And Proper” Iran Deal Without Details

Trump’s “good – President Donald Trump praised a tentative, not-yet-final U.S.-Iran peace outline that would open the Strait of Hormuz and involve Iran disposing of highly enriched uranium, while dismissing the Obama-era pact he says gave Iran a path to a nuclear weapon. Yet
On a Sunday when negotiations between the United States and Iran were still being talked through rather than signed. President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to sell what he called an upcoming deal—vowing it would be “good and proper.” The problem wasn’t that the details were scarce; it was that the outline he celebrated was described as tentative even by a government official. with core questions still hanging.
A government official told The New York Times that both sides had agreed in principle to terms that would open the Strait of Hormuz and would require Iran to dispose of its highly enriched uranium. But the official also said many specifics remained to be sorted. No final agreement was in place.
Trump seized on the reported progress anyway. taking a direct swipe at the diplomatic pact former President Barack Obama helped broker with Iran and international partners over a decade ago. “If I make a deal with Iran. it will be a good and proper one. not like the one made by Obama. ” Trump wrote on Truth Social. In the same post. he repeated the claim that the 2015 arrangement “gave Iran massive amounts of CASH. and a clear and open path to a Nuclear Weapon.”.
Then came the punchline—delivered as a reassurance and a challenge at the same time. “Our deal is the exact opposite, but nobody has seen it, or knows what it is,” he promised. “It isn’t even fully negotiated yet.”
He also pushed back against critics, telling readers not to pay attention to them: “So don’t listen to the losers, who are critical about something they know nothing about.” Trump added, “Unlike those before me who should have solved this problem many years ago, I don’t make bad deals!”
The reported agreement. however. is not just unfinished—it appears to remain missing the kind of mechanics that matter most for any nuclear deal. The outline described in the reporting does not lay out a process for how Iran would get rid of its uranium. It also does not specify when Iran would cease nuclear enrichment. and it does not address Iran’s existing stockpile of missiles.
That mismatch—celebrating a “good and proper” deal while also insisting nobody has seen it—sits at the center of the moment. The basic promises being discussed are sweeping: opening the Strait of Hormuz and disposing highly enriched uranium. Yet the items that determine whether such commitments hold up in practice—timelines. disposal processes. enrichment cessation. and missile-related steps—were still not accounted for in the reported outline.
Even the next steps for approval were described as unsettled in an important way. The reported agreement will still need joint approval from the co-author of “Art of the Deal” and Iran’s supreme leader.

So it’s not even negotiated yet but he’s already bragging? Cool cool.
I don’t get why everyone is mad. If it opens the Strait of Hormuz that sounds good for gas prices right? But they’re saying it’s tentative so like… is this real or just another speech?
“Good and proper” is such a weird phrase for a nuclear deal. He keeps saying Obama gave Iran cash (sure) but now he won’t show details. So basically it’s like trust me bro but for uranium.
Opening the Strait of Hormuz?? Didn’t Obama already do something like that? I’m confused because it says neither side signed anything, but Trump is acting like it’s basically done. Also why would Iran dispose of highly enriched uranium unless they’re getting something huge in return, like paying them or something? They always leave out the “what do we get” part.
