For a second time in recent weeks, Tom Sandoval’s side of his breakup has been dragged into the spotlight as a video surfaced showing a violent confrontation involving his ex and her father.
Sandoval, 43, is seen in footage obtained by TMZ arguing with Victoria Lee Robinson’s father, J. Will Robinson, on a patio before charging toward Victoria as she sits and asks whether he is recording. In the clip, Sandoval appears to try to take her phone while her father steps in and pulls him away. After they separate, Sandoval turns back to J. Will Robinson and shoves him into a flickering brick fire pit. J. Will Robinson appears to try to avoid the flames. then yells in pain. runs after Sandoval. and the former Vanderpump Rules star walks inside the house.
Sandoval has denied wrongdoing in the ongoing legal dispute and has said he fears for his safety. The newly aired video arrives after he filed restraining orders on June 25 against Victoria, 33, and her father, 56. A Los Angeles court granted the orders temporarily until a formal hearing on July 16.
The restraining orders center on allegations that Victoria assaulted Sandoval and that her father escalated an altercation. In court documents obtained by USA TODAY. Sandoval accused Victoria of punching him in the face. which he says led to blurred vision and bleeding from his “ear and neck” and resulted in an emergency room visit. He also accused J. Will Robinson of “lunging” at him “in his inebriated state. ” and of punching a large hole in a bedroom door while Sandoval was barricaded inside.
Those allegations extend beyond the June 3 incident. Sandoval accused Victoria of abuse throughout their two-and-a-half-year relationship, including physical and verbal abuse, tracking him with AirTags, and changing social media passwords on his phone.
After the June 3 incident, Victoria Robinson was arrested on June 3 on a charge of intimate partner battery with physical violence, according to court records. Sandoval said he “foolishly” provided her mother with the money to bail her out, the court filings show.
While the temporary restraining orders remain in effect, the court orders also prohibit both Victoria Robinson and J. Will Robinson from possessing guns, ammunition, or body armor as long as the order is active.
J. Will Robinson disputes Sandoval’s account. In a statement to TMZ. he described Sandoval’s behavior as “very aggressive and threatening.” He said he “lifted Tom off of my daughter because he was overpowering and twisting her arm and trying to take her phone aggressively after yelling at us.” He also said he was the one who called police “for our safety.” Robinson added. “This is my daughter’s home and we just want Tom as far away from us as possible and to keep his lies and drunken abuse away.”.
The confrontation comes amid broader legal fallout connected to Sandoval’s past relationship controversies. The reality star. known for the cheating scandal that shocked the Bravo universe. previously faced legal trouble after ex-fling Rachel Leviss sued him and his ex. Ariana Madix. in 2024 for revenge porn and invasion of privacy. The lawsuit followed allegations that Sandoval recorded a sexually explicit video of Leviss that Madix allegedly distributed.
The court date—July 16—now sits in the middle of a dispute that has already grown larger than allegations. Between the June 25 restraining-order filings and the June 3 video now in circulation. the central question is how the events are being portrayed on both sides: what happened on that patio. who escalated what. and what safety looks like if both accounts keep colliding.
