Target is in hot water after a Halloween circus clown costume that critics said appeared to conjure Blackface and 19th-century minstrel shows prompted a social media backlash.
The retailer has apologized and pulled the costume, sold as “Kids’ Glows Under Backlight Circus Clown Halloween Costume” from its shelves, reports Jessica Guynn.
