The district also posted a statement on Facebook saying. “Patrick Henry Local Schools is aware of the arrest and criminal charges involving an employee of the district. ” and added that because the matter involves both personnel and legal issues. the district would have no further comment.

Court and online records also connect Walter to a church role. On June 4. he was listed online as lead pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Deshler. where his bio says he has worked “for several years.” The church’s website describes him as participating in local events organized by the Deshler Council of Churches. and says his personal updates include sharing cooking projects and canine companions on social media. 1. So he was “suspended without pay” but then he posted a bond? That part is wild to me. Also grooming charges sound like they’re saying he did something already, not just “rumors.”

  2. I don’t get it, they said he was arrested June 2 and then “no additional info” June 4… but he’s a pastor too so maybe the church handled it quietly? Not saying he’s innocent, I just hate how they never say anything specific.

  3. Bus driver + pastor + “authority figure” and “grooming”?? I swear small towns always keep the same people around even after complaints. I hope the kids are safe and they check every adult that was near him, even if it’s “church stuff” that doesn’t sound related.
