Public Survey Opens to Shape National AI Policy

The Digital Transformation Strategy Task Force has launched a nationwide survey to collect public input on AI and digital policies in the Cayman Islands.

(CNS): The National Coalition for Caymanians is hoping to engage stakeholders and members of the public to shape a strategy to navigate the ever-changing world of digital technology and artificial intelligence.. The Digital Transformation Strategy Task Force is running a series of public surveys until 17 May as part of its final phase of engagement.. The findings will help identify strengths, gaps and priorities so the final recommendations reflect the reality and the ambitions of

local people, officials have said.. Digital transformation is shaping how services are delivered, how businesses compete, and how people engage with technology in everyday life, according to a release about the survey.. Maintaining and strengthening the Cayman Islands’ position as a globally competitive jurisdiction makes this work critical.. The NCFC said it is committed to innovation and modernising public services for the benefit of all Caymanians.. The Digital Transformation Strategy Task Force was established to

provide strategic guidance on these islands’ digital future and help form the necessary policies.. It brings together leaders from government, industry and academia to align national efforts, strengthen collaboration and recommend priorities that support sustainable growth, innovation and resilience, the release said.. The task force is chaired by Cristina Spratt.. The other members are Jeff Goddard, Kaitlyn Elphinstone, Jason Nehra, Alexandra Forssell, Lucy Frew, Tamsin Deasey-Weinstein, Lucia Gallardo and James McFee.. It is focused on

three key pillars: Digital Assets and Economic Growth — fostering innovation and long-term economic opportunity; Digital Trust — secure and resilient foundations for the digital economy; and Intelligence and Transformation — responsible adoption of AI and emerging technologies.. The responses from this online open survey will directly inform the Task Force’s recommendations on digital adoption, innovation and long-term economic growth.. Everyone across the Cayman Islands is urged to take part.. “We are now at a

pivotal moment in this process,” Spratt said.. “As we move into the final phase of our work, these surveys give us the opportunity to listen — at scale — to the voices of our country.. This is how we ensure that what we deliver is not only strategic but grounded in reality.” Participation is essential to getting this right, she said.. “Digital transformation does not happen in isolation.. It is built through shared insight, collaboration,

and a clear understanding of what works, what needs to improve, and what comes next.. I encourage everyone to take a few minutes to participate.. Your input will directly shape the direction we take as a country.” All responses are anonymous and reported in aggregate form.. Click here to take the survey.
