That’s messed up. Who does that over nothing.
I feel like they always say “investigating the footage” and then nothing happens. Hate crimes or not, it’s still vandalism and somebody should be caught. Hope they follow through this time.
Wait so is it confirmed it’s antisemitic or is it just assumptions from the people who found it? Like I’m not saying it didn’t happen, but I swear these stories sometimes jump to hate crime before they know. Either way criminal damage should get solved.
Oak Park “welcoming diverse” yet stuff like this still happens… wild. I saw a similar thing on the news last month and it was like graffiti but everyone made it political, so I’m confused what counts as antisemitic vandalism exactly. Also canvassing and reviewing security footage is good but cameras never catch faces anyway, right? Hopefully they find a pattern with other towns, because this stuff feels like it’s getting more common.
