Nebraska’s Jordy Frahm walked off the Women’s College World Series stage knowing the season was over. One day later, she shared a different kind of milestone—an announcement that she’s pregnant with her first child with husband Trey Frahm.
On Monday, June 1, Frahm posted an Instagram slideshow saying, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Our greatest blessing is on the way,” along with a photo of a Nebraska onesie and an ultrasound. She added in the caption, “Baby Frahm coming December 2026.”
The announcement came just after Nebraska’s elimination from the tournament. The Cornhuskers were playing in their first Women’s College World Series appearance in more than a decade, and Frahm’s season ended in Sunday’s elimination game against the defending champion Longhorns in Oklahoma City.
Frahm—listed at 5-foot-8 and from Papillion, Nebraska—was not just part of Nebraska’s run; she carried it. During the Sunday game. she opened the scoring with a leadoff home run—her 20th of the season—to put the Cornhuskers up 1-0. It was also a program first: with that home run. Frahm became the first player in Nebraska history to reach 20 or more home runs in multiple seasons.
But the evening still turned toward the same outcome Nebraska couldn’t avoid. While handling the pitching duties in the circle, Frahm delivered a no-hitter into the sixth inning before Texas broke through to secure a 3-1 win. The loss ended her collegiate career.
After the defeat. Frahm said. “God’s fingerprints were all over this team. all over my story. all over my career. I do truly believe that the way today ended is a part of that story. as well.” She added. “I would just say the whole journey has been… not what I expected. Starting out at (Oklahoma), then transferring back home to Nebraska, getting hurt, all of that… Just so thankful for the journey and to finish it with this team.”.
Her announcement has drawn extra attention because it places Frahm in the tournament while expecting. The pregnancy details she shared—along with the December 2026 due date—also underscore how much was happening at once: a career-defining season. the emotional finality of an elimination game. and then a new chapter arriving as the last inning of college softball closed.
A story like Frahm’s is built out of stops and setbacks as much as it is built from highlights. She began her career at Oklahoma, helping the Sooners win national championships in 2022 and 2023 before transferring back to Nebraska. She tore her ACL just two innings into her first season with the Cornhuskers. then returned in 2025 and helped lead Nebraska to the Super Regionals.
During her senior season, she pushed the program further—helping Nebraska return to the Women’s College World Series for the first time since 2013.
Statistically, her senior year offered a rare blend of production and dominance. Frahm finished ranked sixth in ERA (1.37), recorded 251 strikeouts across 189.2 innings pitched, and hit .403 with 20 home runs. She totaled 79 hits and 51 RBIs, with her home run mark matching her standout moment in the elimination game.
Nebraska head coach Rhonda Revelle praised Frahm on Sunday, saying, “She’s an ultimate competitor. She’s an ultimate teammate. She is so proud to wear this jersey.” Revelle also pointed to what she said goes beyond the scoreboard. adding. “She’s physically talented. She’s athletically gifted. What maybe people don’t understand is her emotional intelligence is off the charts. Her ability to feel and read her teammates and know what they need something. that’s the stuff that hasn’t been talked about enough. That’s what makes her such an impactful leader.”.
Frahm, whose maiden name is Bahl, tied the knot with Nebraska baseball player Trey Frahm in August 2025.
By the time Nebraska fell to Texas on Sunday, Frahm’s collegiate run was already finished. On Monday, she offered a different kind of ending and beginning at the same time—pairing a final game’s closure with the certainty of a coming baby and a due date of December 2026.

Wait so she’s pregnant?? Congrats I guess.
Idk why everyone cares about the timing… like she got eliminated and then boom baby news. Probably planned or something. Either way happy for her.
Maybe the pregnancy is why she couldn’t keep the Longhorns out? No offense but that’s what it kinda sounds like, like she played hurt. Also December 2026 seems random? People say ‘signs’ and stuff.
Nebraska always has some story going on lol. She hit the no-hitter thing and the home run stuff and then the pregnancy announcement right after… I mean I’m happy for her but also doesn’t it feel like the article jumps around? ‘God’s fingerprints’ ok sure. Congrats to Trey too I guess, I didn’t know they were married.
