Residents of Kpone Katamanso are calling for urgent government intervention to address failing infrastructure and social service gaps hindering their economic growth.
Residents and stakeholders in the Kpone Katamanso Constituency of the Greater Accra Region have appealed to government to prioritise infrastructure and social development projects in the area, citing growing challenges affecting livelihoods and economic activities.. According to an apppeal by the independent aspiring parliamentary candidate, many communities within the constituency continue to struggle with poor road networks, inadequate water supply, unstable electricity, poor drainage systems and insufficient street lighting despite the area’s rapid population growth
and economic importance.. Mr Abraham Aidoo noted that the poor state of roads becomes particularly severe during the rainy season, making transportation difficult for drivers, traders, workers and school children, while negatively affecting businesses across the constituency.. in the letter of appeal, he also called for increased investment in educational and health facilities, as well as expanded youth employment and skills development programmes to support the growing population.. The appeal stressed that Kpone Katamanso has
remained a strong support base for the governing National Democratic Congress since 1992 and expressed confidence that the government of President John Dramani Mahama would respond positively to the constituency’s developmental needs.. He argued argued that the constituency contributes significantly to Ghana’s economy through industries, businesses and commercial activities and therefore deserves greater attention in national infrastructure planning and development initiatives.. He further appealed to government and relevant state agencies to ensure that development projects
are extended to all parts of the constituency to improve living conditions and support economic growth.
