Dolphins add Proctor as signing spree nears

Miami’s offense gets a major boost as the Dolphins sign first-round offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor, with only a handful of draft picks still unsigned.

The Dolphins moved quickly to lock in a key piece of their draft haul on Wednesday, announcing the signing of first-round offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor.

Proctor’s deal leaves Miami with only two unsigned firsts and one remaining later pick: first-round cornerback Chris Johnson and fifth-round tight end Seydou Traore. Everything else from the team’s previous rookie additions is already in place.

Miami had already signed a second-round linebacker. Jacob Rodriguez; a third-round wide receiver. Caleb Douglas; a third-round tight end. Will Kacmarek; a third-round wide receiver. Chris Bell; a fourth-round defensive end. Trey Moore; a fourth-round safety. Kyle Louis; a fifth-round safety. Michael Taaffe; a fifth-round wide receiver. Kevin Coleman Jr.; a sixth-round guard. DJ Campbell; and a seventh-round defensive end. Max Llewlyn.

Proctor came to the NFL as the 12th overall pick in April. His college résumé helped earn that draft slot: he played three seasons at Alabama, starting 40 games at left tackle. With Proctor anchoring the line. the Crimson Tide captured an SEC title in 2023 and reached College Football Playoff appearances in 2023 and 2025.

Individually, his resume kept stacking up. Proctor was a consensus All-American and a first-team All-SEC selection in 2025. He also made the 2023 SEC All-Freshman team and earned second-team All-SEC honors in 2024.

Now the focus turns to what remains unfinished for Miami’s draft class—Chris Johnson and Seydou Traore—while Proctor becomes the latest signal that the Dolphins are trying to shape the next phase of their roster with high-impact talent.

  1. I saw Dolphins and Proctor and thought it was like a teacher signing thing lol. But nah this is football. Only 2 firsts left? That’s kinda wild.

  2. Kadyn Proctor at left tackle sounds good but like… if Tua can’t throw it don’t matter. Also Chris Johnson is a corner right? I swear I saw his name as a wide receiver somewhere so idk.

  3. Alabama guys always come in “ready” but then half of them get injured by week 4. They still have Chris Johnson and that Traore guy unsigned, so I guess they’re waiting to complete the whole class or whatever. Also why does it feel like they sign one player and the rest is just rumors until training camp??
