Big temperature warm-up coming soon

Happy Tuesday. We sure did start the day with some snow out there. It wasn’t the nicest weather day, honestly—but the forecast is switching gears fast.
Overnight into Wednesday, temperatures are expected to drop into the low 20s. Clear skies should help, and by Wednesday afternoon the region warms into the upper 40s. The coast, though, stays cooler in the afternoon.
Thursday morning is expected to be basically just as cold, with clear skies and lows in the low to mid 20s. But this time, the afternoon warming goes closer to 60 degrees. A slight breeze may show up at times, which could make it feel a touch sharper outside—especially if you step out before the sun is fully up.
Friday is when things really start to lift. Afternoon temperatures are expected in the low to mid 30s, then a climb toward nearly 70 degrees later. Skies should be bright again, and the forecast is also tracking a chance for a spot shower at night. Nothing dramatic, more like something you keep an eye on if you’re planning to stay out late.
The weekend looks great for being outside. Saturday starts in the 40s and makes it to near 60, while Sunday begins chilly in the 30s and warms to the upper 50s. Both days are expected to be dry and mostly sunny. (You can almost smell that cold-air clean-up feeling after a morning like this—if you’re out early enough.)
Next week is where the warm-up really turns noticeable. Misryoum’s forecast track has Monday and Tuesday in the 70s, with a spot shower chance Monday and an evening shower chance Tuesday. And yeah, the lingering drought is part of why that matters—because more rain is something many people could use to catch up. There’s always the small question of whether showers actually line up when they’re needed, or if they slip just out of reach… but for now the temperature story is the headline.
