WNBA All-Star voting starts Thursday—here’s how

how to – WNBA All-Star voting begins Thursday afternoon and runs through June 27, but fans will need a WNBA ID to cast ballots. This year’s game is July 25 at the United Center in Chicago and will be broadcast on ABC.
By Thursday afternoon, the voting window opens—and it’s not just a click and go. The WNBA has set a clear requirement for fans trying to help shape this year’s All-Star starting lineup: you must enroll in WNBA ID, the league’s free global membership program, before you can cast ballots.
The All-Star Game itself is set for July 25 at the United Center in Chicago and will be broadcast on ABC. Fans will be able to vote on WNBA.com and through the WNBA app.
The league’s voting period stretches until June 27, and the cadence matters. Fans can submit a ballot on each day of the 17-day voting window. There are also three “2-for-1 Days”—June 12, June 17, and June 24—when fan votes are counted twice.
That structure is tied directly to how the starting lineups are determined. Fans account for 50% of the vote used to set the All-Star Game starting lineups, which include four backcourt and six frontcourt players. Players and media members each receive 25% of the vote.
Not every roster spot is decided by voting. The 12 reserve players will be nominated by WNBA coaches.
For fans looking specifically at former UConn standouts who can be nominated, the eligible pool is wide: any player currently on a WNBA team roster can be nominated for this year’s All-Star ballot.
One name already familiar to All-Star voters is Paige Bueckers. She was voted to the 2025 All-Star Game as a rookie. In that run, she led all starters with eight assists to offset a poor shooting night.
Bueckers is also part of a broader UConn thread that has shown up on the WNBA’s All-Star stage. Last year’s exhibition featured four former UConn stars: Gabby Williams, Breanna Stewart, and Napheesa Collier, who was named as an All-Star Game captain.
With the voting period now set to begin Thursday afternoon, the question for fans is simple: who gets the most weight from the people who watch every week—the ones who will decide half of the starting lineup—when the league’s ballot goes live?
