On June 11, the tournament begins with Mexico hosting South Africa at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City—and for the next 39 days, the 2026 FIFA World Cup won’t be confined to living rooms.
Every one of the 104 matches will be televised and available on multiple platforms over 39 days. starting on June 11 and concluding with the final at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. N.J. on Sunday, July 19. For American viewers. that means the same games are spread across several FOX Sports platforms for English. and across Telemundo and Peacock for Spanish.
The USA is co-hosting the extravaganza along with Mexico and Canada, the first time three countries are welcoming the world.
FOX Sports will carry all 104 matches for English-speaking audiences across its platforms. A record 70 games will be on broadcast TV, with all 104 contests available on FOX’s various platforms. FS1 will televise 34 matches. Every game will also stream live on FOX One and the FOX Sports App. For the first two major matches. Tubi—Fox Corp.’s ad-supported streaming service—will simulcast live in 4K at no charge. including Mexico vs. South Africa in Estadio Azteca on June 11 and the U.S. vs. Paraguay in Inglewood, Calif. on June 12.
FOX Sports CEO and executive producer Eric Shanks said this World Cup will be “the biggest production in our company’s 32-year history.” He added: “The largest World Cup ever means this is going to be a television event unlike any other with more teams. superstars. storylines and moments that will captivate audiences everywhere.”.
For the U.S. matches, John Strong will work as lead announcer and former U.S. international Stu Holden will serve as analyst. Because of the competition’s size—four matches will be televised a day during the group stage—FOX will deploy nine announcing teams.
The other eight announcing pairings are: Ian Darke and Landon Donovan; Derek Rae and Robert Green; Darren Fletcher and Owen Hargreaves; Jacqui Oatley and Warren Barton; Ian Crocker and Danny Higginbotham; Mark Scott and Cobi Jones; Tyler Terens and Maurice Edu; JP Dellacamera and Lori Lindsey.
FOX will also offer pre-game shows, analysis before and after games, and halftime breakdowns to keep coverage moving around the clock.
On the studio side, FOX says viewers will hear from a wide mix of former players. In alphabetical order. the studio announcers include Alexi Lalas (USA). Carli Lloyd (USA). Clarence Seedorf (Netherlands). Clint Dempsey (USA). Javier “Chicharito” Hernández (Mexico). John Obi Mikel (Nigeria). Juan Pablo Ángel (Colombia). Landon Donovan (USA). Peter Schmeichel (Denmark). Thiago Alcantara (Spain). Thierry Henry (France). and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden). Ibrahimovic’s role is expected to be especially entertaining. given he has been “never shy to speak his mind” when discussing his time for Sweden and his club teams.
Reporters for FOX Sports include Alex Aljoe, Geoff Shreeves, Jenny Taft, Katie Shanahan, Natalie Gedra, and Tom Rinaldi. Rules analysts will include Dr. Joe Machnik and Mark Clattenburg.
For those watching in Spanish, Telemundo and Peacock will televise the 2026 FIFA World Cup for its Spanish-language audience. Telemundo and Peacock will provide more than 700 hours of programming. Telemundo and Universo will broadcast all 104 matches live, described as the most World Cup coverage by a U.S. broadcast network, regardless of language. All games will stream live on Peacock for Premium and Premier Plus subscribers and on the Telemundo App.
Telemundo says it will use nine play-by-play and color commentator teams and more than 20 reporters across the three host countries: Canada, Mexico, and the U.S.
Joaquin Duro, executive vice president of sports and head of streaming at Telemundo, said in a statement: “We are offering the most comprehensive Spanish-language World Cup experience ever produced in the United States.”
For the World Cup opener on June 11—Mexico vs. South Africa—Jose Luis Lopez Salido and Jorge Calvo will call the match, with former Mexican international standout Andres Guardado supported as part of Telemundo’s comprehensive Mexico coverage team.
Andres Cantor, best known for his “Goooool!” calls, and Omar Zeron will announce the U.S. opening match against Paraguay on June 12. Luis Omar Tapia and Diego Balado will headline several group stage contests, including Portugal-Democratic Republic of the Congo, Brazil-Haiti, and USA-Türkiye.
Dunga and Roque Santa Cruz are among the contributors. Dunga is the Brazilian World Cup champion, and Roque Santa Cruz is a former Paraguayan international.
Telemundo will also bring a live social Watch Party experience across YouTube. TikTok. and X. featuring influencers and commentators from Telemundo Center in Miami. After each match day. Telemundo will televise Copa Mundial After Dark. a 30-minute digital social show streaming across TikTok. YouTube. and X. The show is created for Gen-Z audiences and will recap the day’s biggest moments and most intriguing storylines. hosted by Pamela Munoz. Carlos Reynoso. Lucas Terenqui. and Paz Zubiri.
For viewers who will be driving or don’t have a phone or computer handy, radio coverage is part of the plan too. Fans can follow the games by listening on the radio through iHeart radio or SiriusXM.
