Community mourns as victim identified in Wexford motorcycle accident

Local community members are paying tribute to Jack Egan, a young motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a collision in County Wexford on Friday evening.
A motorcyclist killed in a horror collision in Co Wexford has been named locally as Jack Egan.. Tributes have poured in for the young man, 20s, since the horror smash on Friday evening.. The collision took place on the L4016 near Glenour in Adamstown in Wexford shortly after 9.20pm The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford .. One heartbroken friend took to
social media to pay tribute.. They wrote: “Was a pleasure to know you, thoughts and prayers with his family at this sad time.” Another said: “Ride free brother”.. While another pal wrote: “Shook to the core hearing about this last night.. Thinking of his family and friends.. He was a well known and liked young man.” Others also said: “RIP nicest person ever”.. In a statement, Gardai said they were “appealing for any witnesses to
this collision to come forward.. “Any road users who were traveling on the L4016 between 9:00pm and 9:30pm on Friday 8th May 2026 are asked to make contact with investigating Gardaí..
