Vodafone confirmed the issue in a statement. “We are aware that some customers are experiencing intermittent issues with Vodafone service and we are urgently investigating,” the statement read. “We apologise for the inconvenience and are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We will provide an update as soon as possible.” Vodafone’s network status checker on its website is displaying an error message and as of 8.35am, more than 6500 reports have been filed of an outage according to Downdetector. “We’re working to
improve our network, so from time to time you may experience connection issues,” the error message read. “Use our network status checker to see any planned upgrades, maintenance or outages in your area. Ugh my signal just died too.
So it’s “intermittent” but thousands are reporting it? Sounds like they already knew and just letting it ride. Also the outage checker showing an error message is kinda ironic.
Downdetector says 6500 reports and Vodafone says they’re “urgently investigating”… that usually means it’s not a real outage, it’s just everyone being dramatic right? Like could be tower congestion or maybe people using too much 5G at once?? Idk, my phone is basically useless right now.
This always happens after some “improvement” or maintenance. They should just tell people exactly what failed instead of that generic apology. And if the status checker is down too, how are we even supposed to know what’s going on? Smh, I’m blaming it on whoever runs the whole network, not “random connection issues” like that message says.
