Vin Diesel’s got a lot of love for the late Dolly Parton, and he’s not afraid to show it.
The “Fast & Furious” star paid homage to the country music legend, who died Aug. 25 following a brief battle with cancer, with his own rendition of “I Will Always Love You.”
Diesel honored Parton in more ways than one with his cover, which featured a black-and-white photograph of the singer along with a “love you…” message at the end. Diesel opted for a prayer hands emoji in the caption.
Diesel’s interpretation of the timeless hit amused many of his fans, who then praised both the actor’s vulnerability and singing prowess in the comment section: “Didn’t have ‘Crying to Vin Disel singing’ on my list today but here we are.”
Others were horrified by Diesel’s gesture: “Haven’t we been through enough?”
Diesel’s tribute was shared across a myriad of social media platforms shortly after it was posted. On Instagram, the clip has been liked nearly a quarter of a million times since it was first posted.
Tributes for the late singer have poured in since her nephew Bryan Seaver announced the news of her death Aug. 25.
“Dolly has lived in the light, and is in the arms of Jesus,” Seaver said, “surely met by Carl, her parents, and countless others who have watched her and longed for her to meet them in the heavens.”
