UK convicts four Palestine Action activists over Elbit break-in

A UK court convicted four Palestine Action activists over criminal damage tied to a 2024 raid on an Elbit facility, while two others were cleared.

A UK court has convicted four Palestine Action activists connected to a 2024 raid on an Israeli defence firm’s facility, in a case that has drawn attention to protest action and legal thresholds.

London’s Woolwich Crown Court ruled on Tuesday that Charlotte Head, Samuel Corner, Leona Kamio, and Fatema Zainab Rajwani were guilty of criminal damage linked to the August 2024 incident at Elbit Systems UK’s site in Bristol.. The prosecution said the raid caused significant damage, and the court heard evidence tied to what investigators described as an assault on the facility.

For many observers, the verdict is less about the headline numbers and more about how courts weigh direct action against public order and the alleged intent behind it.
