The air in the Dundee Arms in Bethnal Green turned loud and fast on Wednesday evening—long before the final whistle of England’s opening World Cup fixture against Croatia.

Katie Hopkins was inside watching the match when tensions flared during a heated confrontation with fellow football fans. Video footage obtained by Sell Us Your Story appears to show a man instructing Hopkins to leave as the pub—packed for the game—remained in an angry stand-off.

Hopkins, 50, can then be heard telling him to ‘f*** off’ before appearing to lunge towards another person in the crowd. Patrons respond with chants of: ‘Katie, Katie, you’re a c***.’ Hopkins raises her middle finger and shouts ‘f*** you’ at the people gathered around her.

The footage also appears to show Hopkins shoving a man believed to be the pub’s landlord before heading towards the exit. As she leaves, cheers erupt from inside the venue. Outside, the confrontation continues with Hopkins seemingly pushing away phones as bystanders try to film her departure.

One witness told MyLondon: ‘I think she was kicked out because of her racism and general views. The vibe of the pub was that people didn’t want her there. I was surprised she was served at all.’
