Trump’s rant at Kaitlan Collins began before any question

Trump’s rant – Kaitlan Collins said Donald Trump’s latest face-to-face attack on her started before she asked any question, as he denounced CNN and the Justice Department’s move to drop a controversial $1.8 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund.” After Collins asked whether the p

Donald Trump’s newest confrontation with Kaitlan Collins didn’t wait for a question.

On Wednesday’s broadcast of “The Source. ” Collins told viewers that the first exchange with the president began before she had asked him anything at all. “And just to note. as you’re about to listen to this. this first exchange actually occurred before I had yet to ask the president a question. ” she said before the clip aired.

During the Oval Office event with reporters. Trump launched into a barrage aimed at CNN and Collins while also railing against the Justice Department’s decision to drop its controversial $1.8 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund.” In the exchange Collins aired. Trump called CNN “crooked as hell” and “a very corrupt organization.” He also called Collins a “corrupt reporter.”.

He then turned personal. “Never smiles. A young, beautiful woman. Never smiles,” Trump said of Collins. “I never see a smile on her face. I see her standing there with hatred in her eyes. like. she has hatred because we have borders. because we have a strong military. because we cut our taxes. because we do things that everybody wanted and then we win our election in a massive landslide.”.

After that. Collins finally asked a direct policy question: whether the fund was “dead” or merely “on hold.” Trump’s response was not an answer so much as a diversion into accusations and control of the moment. He said he would “have to ask the lawyers” before again slamming “fake news CNN.” He then told Collins to “be quiet” and said she should “be ashamed of herself.”.

Collins later described what she saw in Trump’s reaction to the line of questioning. She said Trump appeared “clearly irritated” by questions surrounding why his administration says it is not moving forward with the $1.8 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund,” as they have called it.

The dispute didn’t end when the interview did. The White House later doubled down on Trump’s attack by posting this on X:

  1. The “anti-weaponization fund” thing feels like some made up money name. Also CNN has a habit of baiting. Everybody’s corrupt, just depends who you like.

  2. Wait so she said the first exchange happened before her question… so is the video proof of that or is it just her saying it? Because I swear these clips get chopped up. Also Trump called her corrupt reporter right? That’s wild.

  3. He said “never smiles” like bro what 😬. But also, why is the Justice Department dropping a fund called anti-weaponization? Sounds like they’re trying to stop something important. I don’t even know what it is, but I’m mad either way.
