Trump Jr. marries in Florida, family celebrations flood Instagram

Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson were legally married in Florida on Thursday, May 21, before a long-weekend celebration the couple has not confirmed. Social media posts show a flurry of family involvement, while Donald Trump said he skipped the nuptials,

The first hint that the weekend was going to be a big one came in the details—white fabric embroidered with a new name, a napkin set with a line of literature, and tags that made it clear Bettina Anderson was no longer posting as a fiancée.

On Thursday, May 21, Donald Trump Jr. and Anderson legally married in Florida. The planned celebration that followed—reported as set in the Bahamas over Memorial Day weekend—has not been confirmed by the couple. but Instagram posts from members of the Trump family offered a window into how the long weekend unfolded.

Trump Jr., 48, and Anderson, 39, announced their engagement in December 2025 after about a year of dating. The marriage is Trump Jr.’s second: he divorced Vanessa Trump in 2018 and they share five children, including Kai Trump.

Donald Trump’s post on Truth Social was the clearest sign of what was missing. Trump said he opted to skip the wedding, writing that he was doing so because of “circumstances pertaining to Government.”

Anderson shares her first weekend as a newlywed

While Anderson has not shared photos from the legal ceremony in Florida or the later tropical celebration, she did post a glimpse of her first weekend as a newlywed.

On May 25, Anderson shared an Instagram story showing a piece of white fabric embroidered with her new name: Mrs. Trump. She also posted an image of a napkin printed with a quote from Jane Austen’s “Sense and Sensibility”: “My heart is and always will be yours.” Anderson tagged her new husband in the story. and Trump Jr. reposted it to his own account.

Family members’ matching details played out immediately in parallel posts. Anderson’s new sister-in-law, Ivanka Trump, shared a picture of a matching napkin on her own account. Ivanka’s napkin featured words from Victor Hugo’s “Les Misérables”: “To love or have loved, that is enough. Ask nothing further. There is no other pearl to be found in the dark folds of life.”.

For many families, weddings are stitched together with small signals like these—fabric, place settings, shared symbolism. In this case, the symbolism traveled quickly through social media, amplifying the sense of a family event rather than a private milestone.

Vacation photos keep the focus on togetherness

Trump Jr.’s sisters Ivanka and Tiffany Trump, along with sister-in-law Lara Trump, also posted togetherness from the weekend.

Lara Trump posted a carousel of images that included beachside selfies with Ivanka and Tiffany, and pictures with her husband Eric Trump. One selfie also included Trump Jr.’s daughter Kai Trump.

In another photo, Lara and Eric stood posing in the sand with chairs, tables, and decorations visible in the background. Lara wore a long coral-colored sundress, while Eric wore a long-sleeved button-up shirt, white jeans, and white sneakers. The couple held sparklers in another selfie captured during the celebration.

On Eric Trump’s own Instagram story, he shared a mid-flight photo showing teal-colored waters and an island from above.

Tiffany Trump shared a set of selfies featuring herself, Lara, Ivanka, and Kai on her Instagram story. She also posted a clip of herself standing along the shore in a short sundress.

Paddleboarding and a book-ended image of the weekend

Ivanka Trump posted multiple photos from the weekend, including pictures with her husband Jared Kushner and several solo shots on her Instagram story.

She also shared time with Kai Trump. In one image, Ivanka and Kai were seen paddleboarding together in the ocean. Ivanka captioned it: “The best paddle board partner,” and Kai reposted the photo to her own account.

Across the posts, the same theme kept returning: a marriage marked in Florida, followed by a weekend that appeared to blend ceremony with celebration—lit by sparklers, framed by napkins and quotes, and carried forward through family members’ stories.

Even as the couple has not confirmed the Bahamas celebration, Instagram made the atmosphere undeniable: a wedding day on the calendar, and then a flood of family images showing how Trump Jr. and Anderson were welcomed into the next chapter.
