A hurricane watch has been issued as it approaches hurricane strength before it reaches southeast Texas or southwestern Louisiana. These are the same regions impacted by Tropical Storm Arthur in June and Tropical Storm Bertha in July.
Flooding rain, gusty winds, storm surge and isolated tornadoes are all possible, according to AccuWeather. Some areas could get up to 20 inches of rain between Aug. 30 and Sept. 2, and there may be some isolated power outages.

No impacts from Tropical Storm Edouard expected in Florida
Tropical Storm Edouard is not headed to Florida. It is headed for the Texas-Louisiana border.
No impacts are expected in Florida, although there is a low risk for rip currents through Sept. 4, according to the National Weather Service Mobile.
