A fresh window is opening for Kingston drivers with outstanding traffic tickets, with the next Traffic Ticket Public Day planned for the parishes of Kingston and St Andrew.
Misryoum reports that the Judiciary says the events will take place on Wednesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 9 at the National Arena, as part of continued efforts to reduce the backlog of traffic cases and improve access to justice.
The initiative is aimed at encouraging motorists to move their matters forward in a structured setting rather than waiting for later court enforcement. In this context, Misryoum understands the focus is also on strengthening compliance with traffic laws.
For eligibility, the Judiciary says motorists with tickets dated between February 1, 2018 and the present year, 2026, can participate. Registration is strongly encouraged, with an emphasis on having matters addressed before the execution of warrants.
Misryoum notes that the Judiciary described the volume of outstanding cases in Kingston and St Andrew as reaching a point that requires decisive, coordinated action within the court system.
Registration opens on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 and closes on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at midnight. Motorists can register by providing their name, tax registration number (TRN), and ticket details through traffictickets@jamaicajudiciary.gov.jm or via WhatsApp at 876-453-5060 or 876-453-5242.
Before heading to the event, motorists are also encouraged to check their ticket information in advance using the online platform trafficticketlookup.gov.jm.
