Toledo police search after multiple shootings near festival

Toledo police say multiple people were injured in a shooting near the Old West End Festival Saturday evening. Officers were called just after 5:30 p.m. near Delaware Avenue and Glenwood Avenue, and they’re now asking the public to avoid parts of Delaware and R
The video that had already been shared online was still playing when Toledo police confirmed the reason officers were rushing to the area.
Saturday evening, multiple people were injured in a shooting near a festival in Toledo, police said. The Toledo Police Department was called out to the area of Delaware Ave. and Glenwood Ave. near the Old West End Festival just after 5:30 p.m.
Officers arrived and found multiple people had been shot. The injured were taken to area hospitals for treatment. At the time police spoke, the extent of their injuries was unknown.
By 6:30 p.m. Saturday, a spokesperson for TPD released a statement saying officers were actively searching nearby areas for those involved in the shooting.
As investigators worked to figure out what led up to the violence and to find the alleged shooter or shooters, police asked the public to avoid the area of Delaware and Robinwood Avenues Saturday evening.
