Taylor Swift Wedding AI Photos Spark Joseph Kahn Denial

Joseph Kahn says every wedding picture circulating online is fake, after blurry AI-generated venue images appeared despite a phone-free vibe at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Madison Square Garden ceremony on July 3.

Taylor Swift’s onetime music video director Joseph Kahn didn’t waste time cutting through the chaos.

On Saturday, July 4, the 53-year-old wrote via X, “Every picture I’ve seen of the wedding is fake,” adding, “Trust me, AI would break if you tried to prompt it.”

His comments landed after viral images claimed to show the first inside look at Swift and her now-husband Travis Kelce’s star-studded wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The couple said “I do” on Friday. July 3. though images of the arena’s venue decor were reportedly kept under lock-and-key. even with an apparent phone-free mandate.

Still, on Friday, a handful of blurry AI-generated images made their way around social media showing Swift and Kelce mingling with guests during the ceremony.

Kahn, meanwhile, framed his own experience from the inside. He wrote via Instagram on Saturday that he “had a wonderful time at Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce’s wedding last night. ” and said he got to meet Steven Spielberg and the lovely Kate Capshaw while talking filmmaking with the GOAT (lifelong dream achieved).

He also described the night in a way that directly undercut the internet’s imagined visuals, saying the wedding was “so much funnier and emotional than expected,” and that “as big as it was, it also felt very intimate.” He added, “And yes, literally everyone was there.”

Kahn continued in that same post, “It was like living in the internet, and AI would crack if it tried to render it. Anyway congratulations Taylor and Travis! Wishing your beautiful family and future family endless happiness!”

Even as Kahn pushed back hard on the fake images, Swift and Kelce have largely kept details of the day private. Their union was announced with a “JUST&T Married” billboard outside Madison Square Garden and a press release shared by the Grammy winner’s publicist.

That statement said the bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks were created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. It added that the designs were by Jonathan Anderson. Creative Director of Dior Women’s. Men’s and Haute Couture Collections. “in close collaboration with the bride and groom. ” and that it was the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity.

The press release also noted that both of their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and that the bride wore Cartier jewelry. It continued with the wedding roles: Swift’s brother. Austin Swift. served as Taylor’s “Man of Honor. ” while Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man. The ceremony, the statement said, joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.

Swift and Travis have been together since 2023, getting engaged two years later in August 2025.

  1. So he’s saying AI would “break”?? That’s convenient. Also how did pics even get out if it was phone-free, doesn’t add up.

  2. Wait, if Joseph Kahn was there, then why are the pics showing the decor? Like maybe it’s not fake, maybe it’s just low quality and people edited it. Or maybe his whole thing is PR and they wanted it to go viral anyway.

  3. This is why I don’t trust the internet anymore. If Taylor’s phone-free then obviously the pics were from someone’s buddy who broke the rules, not “AI” like c’mon. But also I saw a screenshot that looked real to me, so either I’m crazy or everyone is lying. Spielberg being there is cool though, I guess.
