A Newport Beach break-in left Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Burglary with an uneasy kind of silence—the kind that follows when expensive jewelry is gone and the home you share doesn’t feel quite secure anymore.
Newport Beach Police say the suspects accessed the backyard, shattered a rear sliding glass door, and got inside the couple’s residence. Investigators say they ransacked the primary bedroom closet before fleeing through the backyard and out the front of the property.
Police say the reported loss was jewelry, and sources familiar with the situation describe the stolen items as very high-valued pieces.
The timing made the intrusion hit even harder for the couple. The break-in happened while Tarek and Heather were vacationing in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Police also tell it remains an open investigation. They say they don’t have any information on the suspects available at this time.
Afterward, Heather and Tarek addressed the incident on social media. In their posts, they said they felt “violated” and “really sad” following the burglary, and they assured followers their family was safe.
