Conan O’Brien stars in Adaptive Security training series

Conan O’Brien is partnering with AI cybersecurity company Adaptive Security on a 15-part educational video series aimed at helping clients and employees handle threats like phishing and deepfakes—part of a broader push for better corporate online-safety traini

Conan O’Brien isn’t usually the person you expect to see behind corporate security training materials. But that’s exactly where he’s showing up: Adaptive Security, an AI cybersecurity company, has partnered with the comedian for a 15-part educational video series.

The videos are built to help Adaptive’s clients and their employees navigate threats including phishing and deepfakes. It’s the kind of subject businesses spend money on, but rarely enjoy—“at long last,” as one promo puts it, a corporate training “you might actually enjoy.”

Adaptive’s own promotional clip leans hard into the idea that this collaboration is, on some level, unconventional. It even opens with a joke about O’Brien taking the gig for the money. That comedic framing is likely part of the pitch: get people to actually watch security training instead of clicking through it.

The timing fits a bigger problem. The FTC said social media scams cost Americans at least $2.1 billion last year. With companies holding larger accounts and more sensitive information. the incentive for criminals is obvious—and the tools available to them are getting sharper. The promo notes that AI tools can make scams “awfully convincing” and easier to carry out.

There are, of course, also the basics—common sense rules for keeping troublemakers at bay. And for viewers who don’t have Conan narrating. there’s a different workaround suggested: play an episode of The Simpsons (the monorail episode) while reading cybersecurity tips. for a “near-identical experience.”.
