Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce didn’t wait for wedding week to start giving. With their expected ceremony at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Friday, the couple donated a combined $26 million to 20 local and national charities, according to Swift’s publicist.
The giving spree is spread across organizations connected to places that have shaped their lives—stretching from New York to Kansas City and Rhode Island. Nine of the nonprofits are based in New York. where they’re set to marry. including Food Bank For NYC and City Harvest. as well as Musical Mentors. which connects students with music teachers.
Other recipients reflect Swift and Kelce’s personal ties. The Rhode Island Community Food Bank received a donation that aligns with Swift’s connections to Watch Hill. In Kansas City. Children’s Mercy Hospital was included—an institution tied to Kelce’s NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs. National organizations were also in the mix: Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Feeding America. and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals received donations as well. The amount awarded to each group was not disclosed.
For many charities, the timing turned the donations into something closer to a surprise than a routine milestone. City Harvest. New York City’s largest food rescue organization. thanked Swift and Kelce on Instagram with the message: “It’s a love story that feeds good.” City Harvest has previously said it aims to deliver 100 million pounds of food to New Yorkers. citing the Trump administration’s cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
In Kansas City, Harvesters — The Community Food Network said in an Instagram post that the couple donated $1 million. The organization wrote: “The two of them have incredibly big hearts and have shown up to support not only us but many charities over the years.” It added. “We feel so lucky that they make the conscious effort to invest in hunger relief and the beautiful community we call Kansas City!”.
Rhode Island’s Food Bank posted its own response. saying Swift and Kelce surprised the organization with an “extraordinary” $1 million donation. “We were THRILLED to learn of this unexpected gift. which comes at a time when the need for food assistance in our state is at an all-time high. ” the Food Bank wrote. It also said. “Every dollar of this generous donation will be put to work to source food for distribution across our statewide network of 137 member agencies.”.
The donations fit a broader pattern from both stars. Swift has previously made multimillion-dollar gifts to food banks during her Eras Tour and has supported causes ranging from disaster relief to education. Kelce has long backed youth-focused initiatives through his foundation and has been recognized by the Chiefs for his charitable work.
Swift and Kelce began dating in 2023 and announced their engagement in 2025. They have largely kept their wedding plans private, but the charitable effort gave the week a public footprint—one measured in millions and delivered to organizations that say they’re now better positioned to meet demand.

26 million?? wild.
So are they donating like, before taxes or after? I’m just confused how it works when celebs “pledge” money but don’t say the amounts.
I saw Food Bank for NYC got something and I was like FINALLY. But also doesn’t this kind of stuff get reported as “charity” while they’re basically marketing the wedding the whole time? Not saying it’s bad, I just don’t trust it.
Madison Square Garden wedding and then they toss $26M around, that’s gotta be like the same money that would’ve helped people all year anyway. And why is it “spread across” places like Kansas City and Rhode Island… isn’t that just PR because they’re famous? Also I thought Kelce was already tied to some hospital but maybe I’m mixing it up with the Chiefs stuff. Either way, good for the charities I guess.
