Spotify lets – Spotify says fans will be able to vote for the track they think will be crowned its 2026 “song of the summer” starting in the Songs of Summer playlist. Results are set to be announced June 11.
For the third straight song-based season, Spotify is putting its crowd in the driver’s seat. On May 29, the company announced that users can vote for what they think will be crowned the 2026 song of the summer.
The voting happens inside a new app feature. Fans can tap the “Vote” button at the top of the Songs of Summer playlist, then cast their selection.
Spotify says its Songs of Summer predictions are built from a mix of musical and cultural signals, including “party-ready tracks” with a “nostalgic twist,” global party hits, what it calls “sadboy summer,” and storytelling country music. The company will announce the results on June 11.
