The collision, involving a car, occurred at approximately 12.40am on the R121 at The Ward, Finglas, Co Dublin The male driver of the car was brought to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown for treatment of serious injuries. He was later pronounced deceased. The coroner has been notified. Advertisement The male passenger, who was also in his 20s, was brought to hospital as a precaution. The road is currently closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and is expected to reopen shortly. Gardaí are appealing for

any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the R121 at The Ward, Finglas, Co Dublin between 11.50pm on Friday 29 May and 12.40am on Saturday 30 May are asked to make this footage available to gardaí. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Finglas Garda Station on (01) 666 7500, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
