Sabrina Carpenter seeks restraining order after repeated trespass

Sabrina Carpenter asked a Los Angeles court for a civil harassment restraining order after an alleged stalker reportedly returned to her property multiple times, including a May 23 trespass that led to an arrest. The filing describes repeated contact with her
Sabrina Carpenter says she had just one problem she couldn’t shake: a man who kept showing up at her home—sometimes within hours of police involvement. sometimes in a pattern she describes as escalating. On May 29. she turned to a Los Angeles court. seeking a civil harassment restraining order after what she says were repeated attempts at direct contact that even culminated in an arrest.
The request comes as Carpenter. 27. pursued protection through the legal system after alleging the man repeatedly returned to her property despite police intervention and an arrest. In court documents filed in Los Angeles. Carpenter said the man’s conduct included trespassing onto her neighbor’s property to reach her. along with attempts to force his way into her home without consent.
Carpenter asked the court for the order Friday. May 29. describing an alleged timeline that began with what she says was the first direct attempt at contact on May 23. In the filing. she alleged the man arrived at her front door after “trespassing onto my neighbor’s property to circumvent and breach the security fencing protecting my home.” She said it was not a one-off incident. but a deliberate effort to get around safeguards.
“It is clear to me that his approach was deliberate, calculated and aggressive, which is deeply alarming,” Carpenter wrote.
She said the man allegedly tried “actively trying to force his way inside my home without any invitation. permission. or consent whatsoever.” When she says the door did not open. she alleged he knocked. rang the doorbell. and refused to leave even after members of her security team removed him from the property.
According to the documents, Carpenter said he also “fabricated the outrageous and entirely false claim that he personally knew me and that I was expecting him.” She alleged the man “continued to resist” until the Los Angeles Police Department came and arrested him.
Even as the arrest occurred, Carpenter’s filing describes the situation as far from finished. She alleged that the man “loitered in the immediate vicinity” for two hours in his car. “watching and waiting. ” before she says he left. Carpenter’s court submission states that her security later made contact when he drove closer to the driveway “in a clear act of further surveillance and harassment.”.
Her request also describes what happened after May 23 with a sense of repetition: she said that on May 25, the man returned to her property for a third day in a row, and that LAPD responded again.
Carpenter’s declaration, according to the filing, includes information from further investigation by her private security team. She said her investigation showed the man had been stalking her since “at least approximately April 20.”
In her account. Carpenter said the conduct showed what she described as an escalation pattern—moving closer to her home until it culminated in the May 23 trespass she characterized as violent and aggressive. She wrote that the man behaved in a manner showing “a clear and deeply troubling escalation pattern. as he has progressively moved closer and closer to my home. ultimately culminating in the violent and aggressive trespass of May 23.”.
A judge granted Carpenter a temporary restraining order while she awaits upcoming proceedings. She also asked for protection for her sister Sarah and her sister’s significant other George, describing what she said the incidents have done to her sense of safety.
Carpenter told the court that the events have “caused me significant and ongoing fear for my personal safety and the safety of all individuals residing in my home.” She added that the most disturbing part. in her view. was an alleged attempt to force entry—“His act of physically attempting to open and enter my front door. without invitation. consent. or any lawful basis is among the most disturbing violations of personal safety and privacy I have ever experienced. ” she said.
She also pointed to what she called delusional behavior. writing: “His delusional insistence that he knows me and was expected by me is indicative of a dangerous. delusional. and irrational fixation on me.” Carpenter said the pattern—“stalking. trespassing. and surveillance”—has caused “severe and ongoing emotional distress. ” and she said she fears what may happen if the court does not restrain him.
The court filing includes images of the man on Carpenter’s doorbell camera footage. Declarations submitted in support of her request came from a member of the LAPD Threat Management Unit and two members of Carpenter’s private security team.
Carpenter, Sarah, and George have received a TRO, and a hearing later this month is set to determine whether a permanent order will be implemented.
