An insider says the Prince and Princess of Wales are at a crossroads over how to prepare their 12-year-old son. and that the couple don’t share the same approach. “There’s an understanding that things will change after this summer and there are things that William and Kate don’t see eye to eye on. ” the source told Closer. “There’s been some difficult conversations about what happens next. George’s future as King has become very real—and there’s a definite difference of opinion.”.

In the home. the tension is described as a tug-of-war between two competing visions of George’s life: one anchored in the slow. normal rhythms of childhood. and the other built around duty. The insider claims William is intent on making sure George’s path to the throne is “as smooth as possible. ” while Kate is trying to hold on to his old life. “At home, he’s still just George,” the insider said. “He loves being outside, messing around with his siblings and doing ordinary kid stuff. 1. Sounds like Kate just wants him normal and William wants him trained like a soldier? lol. But also, if you’re the heir, it’s kinda your whole life already, so can you really slow it down?

  2. Wait so they’re arguing about what outfit he wears to school or like the schedule?? Because I read somewhere else that George already has a ton of “royal lessons” so this is probably just PR drama again.

  3. Closer mag is kinda notorious for making everything sound like a soap opera, but honestly… if William’s pushing “service” habits that young, that’s gonna mess with him. Like when they say “there’s no going back” I automatically think it means they’re cutting him off from friends or whatever. Meanwhile Kate letting him climb trees and kick a football sounds way better, but then it’s still the same kid with cameras everywhere so idk.
