Two years after Yellowstone finished its five-season run, the franchise isn’t done tugging on its fans’ boots-and-buckle instincts. The original Yellowstone streamed on Paramount Network from June 20. 2018. to December 15. 2024. centering on the Dutton family as they run the largest cattle ranch in Montana. Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.
Now the Sheridanverse is set to grow yet again—with an expanding slate that already includes five series total. This year alone brought two sequels: Marshals and Dutton Ranch. Dutton Ranch is still airing and is currently the most popular Western on television.
Paramount’s latest plan pushes the brand beyond TV. During Summer Game Fest. the company announced tentative plans to develop Yellowstone into a video game through its new gaming division. Paramount Games Studios. The studio is collaborating with action-game developer PlatinumGames on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin. and the path outlined for the division includes games for Star Trek. Avatar: The Last Airbender. and SpongeBob SquarePants before moving forward with other projects. including adapting the Sheridanverse.
In a Polygon interview. Shawn Kittelsen. head of creative and production at Paramount Games Studios. said the company has Yellowstone and its surrounding titles—along with other Sheridan-world stories—at the top of its priorities. He pointed to Landman and Tulsa King by name. and said: “All of the Yellowstone and Yellowstone-adjacent titles. Landman. Tulsa King. these are all priorities for us.”.
Kittelsen also discussed video game plans for Lioness, which is set to return for Season 3 this summer. Lioness stars Zoe Saldaña, and is Sheridan’s spy thriller about a CIA team that enlists female operatives to go undercover in life-threatening situations.
The studio’s approach, at least for now, is being presented as careful rather than rushed. In that same breakdown. Kittelsen said: “If we build pillar by pillar. find the right partners. and make the right games for the audience. I think we can achieve massive success… Everything has to come from that player-first. fan-first perspective. We’re being much more selective about our partners because everything that we do. we don’t want to just spray and pray. Like we always say: we want missiles, not bullets.”.
While the Yellowstone game remains in the tentative phase, fans have something immediate to keep up with: Dutton Ranch. The series premiered on Paramount+ on May 15, 2026, and is set to conclude after nine episodes in July. Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprise their roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler. gambling everything on a new life in South Texas—away from their home in Montana.
Yellowstone and Dutton Ranch both stream on Paramount+.

So they’re making a Yellowstone game? Great, now my cowboys have to have more bugs to deal with.
I swear every show turns into a game now. Paramount just wants money from fans who never asked for gaming lol. Also “Dutton Ranch” is still going right?
Wait, so Yellowstone is like connected to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?? That seems random. Unless they mean the studio is doing a bunch of stuff and it’s not actually in the same universe, idk. Sheridanverse sounds like a whole alphabet of shows now.
I don’t get why they need more spin-offs after five seasons, especially when the games are “tentative.” Like just cancel the rumors and make it real or don’t. And if they’re doing Star Trek or Avatar games too that’s gonna be weird, Yellowstone fans just wanna boots and cattle not whatever alien stuff.
