Prince Harry left off Peter Phillips’ wedding list

Prince Harry will not attend Peter Phillips’ June 6 wedding to Harriet Sperling, with a royal expert pointing to years of cooled ties and the fallout of the Duke of Sussex’s 2023 memoir. Another commentator also claims Harry and Meghan were not invited and are
Prince Harry is set to miss what many are calling a major family moment: Peter Phillips’ wedding to Harriet Sperling on June 6. The guest list won’t include the Duke of Sussex, and the reasons being discussed are anything but simple.
Royal expert Emily Nash said the absence appears tied to strained interpersonal relationships within the family. In her account, Phillips and Harry’s bond has cooled sharply in recent years—one she describes as “a natural cooling off.”
“What we were told was that Peter hadn’t spoken to Harry for the last few years,” Nash said. She also stressed that the dynamics are different elsewhere in the royal circle, pointing to Phillips’ close connection with Prince William and calling it “extremely ‘close.’”
“Nash noted that in stark contrast, Peter and the Prince of Wales are extremely ‘close,’” with Nash describing Phillips as “very loyal” and “very protective,” and adding that he’s served as “a very good sounding board to his cousin [William] over the years.”
The comparison matters. Nash argued. because the event is framed as a high-emotion day for the couple—not a moment for competing narratives. “So it absolutely makes sense that I think had both Wales brothers been there. it would have put a completely different slant on the whole event. and that’s not what you want on what should be the happiest day of your life. right?” she said.
Harry and William’s relationship has been broken since Harry and Meghan Markle left The Firm in 2020. Nash also referenced the difficult moment during Prince Philip’s 2021 funeral, when Phillips was described as stepping in. “Peter played the ‘peacemaker’ between the estranged siblings. ” Nash claimed. describing how Phillips was “positioned between the two warring brothers. ” placed “right in the middle” as the older cousin.
“Of course, a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then,” she added.
Nash also pointed to Harry’s 2023 memoir as another key factor in why he won’t be seeing Phillips exchange vows. She said the book would likely have become the focus during Phillips and Sperling’s special day. “That would have become the absolute focal point for Peter and Harriet’s special day. and there have been enough distractions. I think. from the good things about the royal family over the past year. ” Nash said.
“Hopefully, they can just have this one day to come together and celebrate someone’s happy news for a change,” she added.
She also described the occasion as reflecting the “modern face” of the monarchy, emphasizing that “there is a real family at the heart of it — and a blended one as well.”
Other names are expected to be there for the June 6 wedding. King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Edward, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, are all reportedly attending the event.
But another commentator’s version adds sharper edges to the story. TalkTV host Mark Dolan claimed that not only were Harry and Meghan Markle not invited, but that they are “banned” from attending.
“Why? Because Peter Phillips, the guy that’s getting married, doesn’t want Harry to take the headlines,” Dolan said, adding that “Palace officials feel that Harry and Meghan are toxic and they would ruin the special day,” as alleged in the report Dolan gave.
“It’s a royal snub; it’s the royal wedding of the year, and it is Princess Anne’s son, Peter,” Dolan continued. “The bottom line is that Harry has not been invited.”

so Harry just… not invited? wild.
I swear I read somewhere Meghan wasn’t invited to stuff either, like it’s always her fault. But also the article says Peter and Harry “haven’t spoken”?? that’s like… 100% memoir fallout though right?
Wait so the “royal expert” says Peter didn’t speak to Harry for years… but like Harry leaving The Firm was 2020, so how long has it been? feels like they’re rewriting timelines. Also calling William’s side “extremely close” makes it sound like Harry was just iced out for being the odd one.
This is honestly predictable. If he wrote that memoir then of course they’re not gonna include him in the big day. Meanwhile Peter’s wedding being “the happiest day” like no drama ever, but the headline is literally drama. I don’t even care who’s close to who, it’s just funny to me that it’s all supposed to be family but they keep acting like separate countries.
