Former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is back under police scrutiny in England, this time tied to a claim connected to Royal Ascot more than two decades ago.

Detectives are examining an alleged incident from 2002 at the famed racing festival. with investigators looking at “events in 2002” as they consider wider possible crimes by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. including sexual misconduct. corruption and fraud. The report of the new police probe comes as questions resurface about a chapter in Andrew’s public life that has already been clouded by the fallout from the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Royal Ascot is among England’s most prestigious sporting events, steeped in tradition that stretches back centuries. In 2002, Andrew’s mother, Queen Elizabeth, attended, along with his older brother the future King Charles, his younger brother Prince Edward, and his older daughter Princess Beatrice.

Thames Valley Police Department detectives are believed to be handling the investigation.

It’s still unclear when the allegations from 2002 were first brought to law enforcement. What is clear is that this is the first time an investigation connected to the claim has come into public view.

The timing lands hard in what has already been a difficult year for Andrew. In February, he was arrested on suspicion of sending confidential British trade reports to Jeffrey Epstein back in 2010. After the Epstein Files were released. King Charles stripped Andrew of his royal titles and booted him from the Royal Lodge residence in Windsor.

In those Epstein Files, Andrew’s name and photos were displayed extensively, including images showing him kneeling over a woman while she is lying on the floor inside a room.

  1. I don’t get why they’re looking at Royal Ascot specifically, like what does a horse race have to do with any of this. Sounds like another Epstein thing being dragged back up for clicks.

  2. Wait, is this the same Prince Andrew that was already accused with Epstein? If they’re investigating “events in 2002” then wouldn’t that mean they already had it back then? Feels like they’re cooking up charges because politics or something.

  3. Royal Ascot is where rich people go right? so of course rumors spread there. I saw something about photos with him kneeling by a woman and now they’re talking “corruption and fraud” too like it’s all one big thing. Also Thames Valley Police… why would they handle it in England instead of whoever already was investigating Epstein? Idk it just seems like they’re picking at the past again and again.
