DHS Secretary Mullin announces Operation Rotten Apple, blames Mamdani
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin announced Operation Rotten Apple in New York. He said it was necessary because of liberal leadership.
A plane carrying Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin was diverted to Reagan National Airport on Sept. 2 after suffering engine failure.
The pilot of the U.S. Coast Guard-operated Gulfstream V jet declared the emergency after the right engine failed but landed safely at the airport in Arlington, Virginia. The plane had 14 people on board, according to Air Traffic Control audio posted to social media and reposted by Mullin.
Mullin said on social media that the pilots “made the single engine landing feel routine.”
“No panic, just straight professionalism,” he added.
USA TODAY reached out to the Department of Homeland Security for further comment and information on the plane but the department referred back to Mullin’s social media post.
