Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor surfaces in the South of France with 2 women 6 months after arrest: He ‘regularly travels abroad with the knowledge of the king,’ royals biographer says

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has reportedly surfaced in the South of France with two women six months after his arrest — and a royal biographer says King Charles III is aware his younger brother continues to travel abroad, Wonderwall.com can report.

The former Prince Andrew, who now lives at Marsh Farm on the king’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office and remains under investigation.

The former Duke of York, who denies wrongdoing, was released without bail conditions and retains his passport, meaning he is allowed to travel overseas.

Biographer Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, reported that Mountbatten-Windsor has spent time in France this summer and claimed the disgraced royal’s life has been far less secluded than it might appear.

“Andrew has not been stuck forlornly in Marsh Farm over the summer. He retains his passport and regularly travels abroad with the knowledge of the king,” Lownie wrote on Substack.

According to the author, Mountbatten-Windsor visited a stud farm near St. Malo in France as a guest of billionaire Mohammed A. Baker, CEO of retailer Sun & Sand Sports, before traveling to the South of France.

Lownie said Mountbatten-Windsor was spotted wearing a red baseball cap, white trousers, Timberland shoes and Ray-Ban glasses and was accompanied by two women in their 40s — one blonde and the other with red hair.

“It is said he is looking for a property in the region,” Lownie added.

A property purchase would take things a step further, a source told Wonderwall.com. “If Andrew genuinely is exploring property there, it would represent another significant step away from his former royal existence,” the source said.

Lownie previously told News24.com.au that Mountbatten-Windsor’s supposedly isolated existence was just a distraction.

“Andrew is on a private estate; we don’t know his comings and goings,” the biographer said. “So I suspect again, the idea that he’s under house arrest and basically in isolation is all just window dressing.”

Lownie added that it benefits both Mountbatten-Windsor and the royal family for the public to believe he’s been cut off from the outside world.

“And so it suits everyone’s purposes to give the impression that he’s basically under lock and key, [but] actually nothing much has changed except he’s in a slightly smaller house,” Lownie explained.

Earlier this year, Mountbatten-Windsor was pushed to give up his lease on his longtime Crown Estate home, the 30-room Royal Lodge in Windsor, England, in the wake of renewed scrutiny over his ties to predator Jeffrey Epstein.

Lownie believes Charles has adopted what he called a “softly, softly containment” strategy toward his younger brother rather than cutting him off completely.

“The king is in a difficult position, because he doesn’t want to antagonize the family too much, because he kind of wants to keep them in the tent,” Lownie told News24.com.au. “And the danger is they go away and do all sorts of crazy things.

“So I think it’s a softly, softly containment at the moment,” he continued. “And again, I’m sensing that what is there for public consumption, and what is the reality, are two very different things.”

The report about Mountbatten-Windsor’s travels comes six months after he was arrested on the Sandringham estate.

Following his younger brother’s arrest, Charles publicly stressed that the investigation would proceed independently.

“I have learnt with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office,” the king said in a statement at the time.

“What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.”
