The stakes are plain from the first announcement: on Aug. 29, pop star Olivia Rodrigo will turn Great Park in Irvine into a women-led music rally, with proceeds from Daisy Chain Fields set to benefit charities supporting the advancement and advocacy of women and girls.
Rodrigo’s Instagram post framed the festival as more than a lineup. “The lineup is truly insane and full of my heroes and friends. I firmly believe that joy, community, and music can be the drivers of meaningful change and I’m hopeful this festival will be just that,” she said.
The festival, titled Daisy Chain Fields, will run on Saturday, Aug. 29 at Great Park in Irvine. The event will carry an all-women lineup, bringing together a wide sweep of artists and scenes—from chart-topping pop to punk mainstays and classic rock.
Billed performers include Rodrigo, Bikini Kill, Chappell Roan, Katseye, Sarah McLachlan, Fleetwood Mac vocalist Stevie Nicks, Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O, and more.
