New Jimmy John’s opens at CVG Airport

Monitors in the Concourse B food court now have a new sign to catch your eye—Jimmy John’s is officially open at CVG Airport.

CVG Airport announced Monday that the sandwich chain held its grand opening celebration at its location inside the Concourse B food court, giving travelers another choice while they’re waiting on flights. It’s one of those changes you notice right away, especially if you’ve been passing that spot for months.

What used to be there matters too. Jimmy John’s took over the space formerly occupied by Chick-fil-A, which moved to a larger space in the food court. So if you remember grabbing something quick before, the layout—and the odds of finding your usual spot—has shifted.

CVG framed the move as part of its broader push to expand variety across the airport. “Giving travelers a variety of options throughout the airport is a priority for CVG, and every addition we make to our concessions lineup is part of that commitment,” Kenton County Airport Board chair Chad Summe said.

He added that the goal isn’t just more options, but better ones “at every turn,” with Jimmy John’s described as a “welcome fit for the Concourse B Food Court.” The kind of sentence that sounds standard on press releases, sure—but for passengers, it’s still pretty straightforward: more places to eat means fewer compromises when your schedule gets tight.

And if you’re wondering what else is available around the airport, CVG pointed travelers to its list of other dining options at CVG Airport. In a place where you can hear the low rumble of suitcases rolling over tile and smell coffee drifting from somewhere nearby, having another familiar menu can feel like an actual small win. Or maybe not a big win—just a useful one, the kind you remember when your gate changes last minute.
