Netflix drops Expendables films June 20

Expendables leaving – All four Expendables movies—The Expendables, The Expendables 2, The Expendables 3, and Expend4bles—are leaving Netflix on June 20, tightening the countdown for fans of Sylvester Stallone’s blockbuster mercenary team.

On June 20, the clock runs out for fans who still like their action loud, their rivalries personal, and their team-ups stacked with familiar faces.

Netflix is losing all four Expendables movies on June 20: The Expendables, The Expendables 2, The Expendables 3, and Expend4bles.

The franchise kicked off in 2010. when Sylvester Stallone—who is also known for First Blood—assembled a squad of past and present action stars as elite mercenaries. The core promise was simple: dangerous missions around the world. big explosions. and the kind of team chemistry that turns chaos into entertainment.

Stallone returns as Barney Ross, the leader of the mercenary team. Jason Statham (The Beekeeper) plays Lee Christmas, Barney’s knife-wielding right-hand man. Dolph Lundgren (Rocky IV) is Gunner Jensen. Randy Couture (Setup) is Toll Road as the crew’s demolitions expert. and Terry Crews (White Chicks) is Hale Caesar. the team’s weapons specialist.

The original lineup also includes Jet Li (Hero) as Yin Yang. Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator 2: Judgment Day) appears as Trench, a rival and ally to Barney. Bruce Willis (Die Hard) takes on the role of Mr. Church, a CIA figure. Jean-Claude Van Damme (Timecop) rounds out the ensemble as Jean Vilain, a ruthless enemy.

At the box office, the early run looked like a win for the genre. The Expendables grossed $268 million worldwide on an $82 million budget, and The Expendables 2 followed with about $312 million worldwide against a $100 million budget.

Then momentum started to slide. The third outing, The Expendables 3, grossed $209 million worldwide against a $100 million budget, with a noticeable dip domestically where it took in about $39 million.

By the time Expend4bles arrived, the franchise had hit its lowest point. The film cost around $100 million and grossed only about $51 million worldwide—earning the kind of box office result that gets remembered.

What fans have now is a deadline: June 20 marks the moment these four movies stop streaming on Netflix, so the remaining window is less about anticipation and more about catching up before the lineup disappears.
