The Sports Illustrated alum arrived at the 2026 American Music Awards on May 25 in a bead-adorned gown and complementary gold heels. an outfit made to shine as she walked the red carpet. But the dress had gaps large enough for the stilettos to get stuck—and that’s exactly what happened. Karol G also spoke about what her music means to her. saying her music helped her find her “purpose” and describing the joy she feels when the themes in her songs “become a voice for a lot of people.” She added. “I just think that my life is meaningful because of my music and to help others through it.”.
Legend then handed her the award, which the former considered “[his] honor.”
