While remastered versions of both games came out in 2014 and remain available. 4A Games said players have long asked for a way to play the original versions of the first two entries in the survival shooter series. So the developer refined both games for newer PCs, making sure they work on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Those updates go beyond basic compatibility. 4A Games says the updated releases offer support for a wider range of resolutions, optimize framerates, and include support for a wide range of controllers.
