Marshall has announced the Stockwell III, a new version of its stylish Stockwell Bluetooth speaker designed with repairability in mind. It’s the brand’s first update to this model since early 2019. and it keeps much of the same look as the predecessor: a large carrying handle and speakers that spread sound in all directions. not just out the front like the iconic Marshall amps that inspired it.

The headline change is power. Marshall says battery life has been doubled from 20 hours to over 40 hours. Just as important for longevity, the upgraded battery is replaceable. Marshall also introduced replaceable batteries with its Mid A.N.C. wireless headphones last month, which the company’s move can potentially be tied to new EU regulations.
Marshall isn’t stopping at the battery. Repairability extends to other parts of the Stockwell III. including a velvet-lined carrying strap. front and back grills bearing the Marshall logo. and the faux-leather textured silicone sleeve wrapped around the entire speaker that protects it. The point isn’t just keeping the speaker in service longer—it can also help resale potential by keeping it looking new.
There are other practical upgrades, too. The upgraded battery can be used as a power bank to charge other devices over USB-C, and the speaker’s waterproof rating has been improved from IPX4 to IP55, making it better suited to handling splashes and keeping dust out.
On top, the brass control panel has been updated with an M-button for switching to a preset sound profile. There’s also a dedicated media button that can pause, play, or skip tracks.
For people who like the Marshall sound but hate the idea of replacing a good speaker for a worn-out component, the Stockwell III’s replaceable design is the real shift. The spec bump is noticeable—but the promise is durability.
