Alannah Keyser has broken her silence after leaving Love Island USA shortly after a resurfaced video and screenshots circulated online over her use of a racial slur. In a TikTok, the 21-year-old apologized, said the footage is from six years ago, denied that s
Alannah Keyser’s second chance at Love Island USA didn’t last long.
One week after the 21-year-old made her debut as a bombshell. the focus quickly shifted away from her entrance and toward resurfaced clips showing her using a racial slur—especially the N-word. Fans dug into past moments online. including a video of Keyser singing along to Roddy Rich’s “The Box.” The backlash moved fast. with Love Island fans calling for her removal. and then it happened.
Four days after she entered the villa, narrator Iain Stirling announced on Instagram, “Welcome back to Love Island USA. Alannah has left Casa Amor.”
Then, once the dust settled, Keyser spoke directly to her followers. In a TikTok shared on Saturday, she addressed the video first.
“I do want to begin by addressing the video of me singing along to a Roddy Rich song that contains a racial slur. I’m sorry to whoever has seen that video and has been offended by it. That was never my intention. The video is from six years ago, and that word is just not in my vocabulary anymore,” Keyser said.
She also tackled the screenshots that were circulating, which appeared to show her using the same slur in other situations. Keyser claimed they were not accurate.
“What has been shared does not reflect the truth, and it’s never been in my character to discriminate against anybody’s skin color. I do want to say directly that I do not support racism or discrimination of any kind, and I never have,” she said.
As she reflected on what it meant to have the controversy unfold so quickly, Keyser described the personal hit.
“When I first found out that these things were going around online, it really broke my heart and I couldn’t do anything about it. But this has definitely been a learning lesson for me, and it sucks that I didn’t get a chance to really show my personality and who I am,” she added.
One detail that has since come to light: People learned the video depicting Keyser using the racial slur was not available online during Peacock’s vetting process.
Before Keyser’s response, her father, Stephane Keyser, defended her. He told TMZ that she’s not racist and described her as an “educated sweetheart.”
Keyser’s fans and critics are now left weighing her apology against the resurfaced footage and the screenshots that claimed to show a pattern—along with her insistence that parts of what’s been shared have been “falsified.”
