Logan Paul’s triceps surgery sidelines him months

Logan Paul’s – Logan Paul confirmed a torn triceps and surgery after a left-elbow injury during a May 23 World Tag Team Championship match, setting up a months-long absence while his stable maneuvers the title picture under the freebird rule.

Logan Paul learned just how quickly momentum can turn when a dive in the middle of a championship match landed awkwardly on his arms.

On May 23. during Saturday Night’s Main Event. Paul teamed with Austin Theory as members of The Vision to face the Street Profits—Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford—in a World Tag Team Championship match. Paul and Theory won. But during the match, Dawkins went for a dive out of the ring onto Paul. Paul landed awkwardly on his arms and was holding his left elbow.

The injury became public through WWE coverage on the May 25 edition of Raw. Two days later, on May 27, Paul posted on Instagram that he tore his triceps and underwent surgery. He shared a photo of the scar and wrote, “Tore my tricep, got surgery while wide awake, told doc I wanna feel it all.”

WWE said Paul would be out for several months, and Paul confirmed he’d been told to expect a six-month recovery. Still, he pushed back on the timeline. “I don’t believe them,” he said, adding that he plans to return “in a couple weeks.”

The timing lands hard because Paul was in the most active stretch of his professional wrestling career. Since joining The Vision in November. he developed a steady presence that helped lead to a major milestone: Paul and Theory becoming the World Tag Team Champions on March 30. Now, the setback threatens to disrupt not just his run, but the status of those titles.

Theory and Paul are the ones who earned the championships—but the injury places their championship position in jeopardy. The Vision has a built-in solution: the freebird rule. which allows any member of a stable to be recognized as champion when it holds the title. As a result, Theory and Bron Breakker are the current title holders.

Paul’s triceps injury is also the second significant injury of his wrestling career. In November 2022. he suffered a meniscus and MCL injury in the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. That earlier injury helped cement him as a “certified wrestler,” according to the way his career has been framed since.

For The Vision, Paul’s surgery adds to a pattern of sidelining that has hit nearly every member. Breakker is dealing with a hernia. and Bronson Reed suffered a biceps injury in February that forced him out for multiple months. Breakker returned at WrestleMania 42 in April, while Reed is still out of action.

With Paul now looking at a six-month recovery on paper—and a faster return in his own mind—the stable’s title path is clear even if its lineup isn’t. One championship win may be enough to change a moment, but injuries like this can scramble who gets to stand in the ring when it matters most.

  1. I saw the headline and thought it was his whole arm, like his elbow got ripped off or something. Also why are they even doing matches if dude is already hurt.

  2. Wait so he tore his triceps from Dawkins diving? That’s crazy, I didn’t realize they landed on the elbow like that. But the freebird rule thing confuses me… doesn’t that mean anybody can just sub in for him? Like The Vision vs Street Profits already kinda felt scripted anyway.

  3. “Got surgery while wide awake” like whattt? That sounds terrifying. And I don’t believe the timeline?? He’s probably trying to be inspirational for the fans, but if he’s saying return in a couple weeks then he’ll probably mess it up again. WWE timing is always weird too, why do these guys get injured right when they finally win.
