Lisa Rinna shuts down Spencer Pratt mayor support

At the AMAs on May 25, Lisa Rinna made it clear she won’t back Spencer Pratt for mayor of Los Angeles, joking that the city doesn’t need another reality star in charge—even as she acknowledged Pratt’s campaign could still be able to win.
Lisa Rinna didn’t waste time on the red carpet.
On Monday, May 25, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star—at the AMAs—was pressed about Spencer Pratt’s high-profile bid for mayor of Los Angeles. Her answer was blunt, and the message landed fast: she won’t be supporting him.
Rinna spoke after The Hollywood Reporter journalist described her as “very political.” She responded, “I am. That’s true.” Then came the question everyone wanted answered: who should be mayor of L.A. Rinna paused before delivering the kind of refusal that sounds like both a joke and a boundary. “That is a good question. I am gonna say — I don’t know yet. Not a reality star, though. I’m sorry. I love him, but we’ve already done that. We’re not gonna do that again.”.
She was talking about Pratt. who has been running an intensely visible campaign for the top job in the City of Stars. Even as she doesn’t think he’s the right person for the office. Rinna said Pratt still has a real shot. “It could be,” she said. “I mean, he’s got power behind him, it seems, but I don’t know.”.
When she was asked why so many “Hollywood people on the West Side” believe Pratt should be mayor. Rinna kept the focus on what she clearly sees as the mistake everyone is making—putting reality TV in charge of real governance. “You got me,” she said. “‘Cause listen, I’m a reality person. You wouldn’t want me as mayor, really. I mean, let’s just face it!. I love him!. I think he’s amazing. I just think we did that.”.
Her comments were seemingly aimed at Donald Trump, who became president of the United States after starring in the reality show The Apprentice.
Pratt’s campaign. meanwhile. has leaned hard into social media—an approach that could help him cut through noise and energize supporters. But that style doesn’t automatically translate into votes across a whole city. “Being louder doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s actual support for him in the city of L.A. ” Democratic strategist Michael Trujillo said. Trujillo also pointed to the timeline and the practical math facing the campaign: “For as creative and as imaginative and as fun as Spencer Pratt’s campaign is. they run into a real math equation come June 3. if they make the runoff.” He added that Pratt’s registration status could complicate things: “The fact that Spencer is still a registered Republican will be reasons one. two and three for Democrats to reject him.”.
Pratt became famous for starring in the reality TV show The Hills, and his career has since moved beyond the reality circuit. Still, his mayoral run remains rooted in the kind of visibility that comes with that background.
In January. Pratt announced his run for mayor of L.A. basing part of his pitch on the idea that the devastating 2025 Palisades fires could have been handled much better by incumbent mayor Karen Bass. While the race is officially nonpartisan. Pratt’s policies lean conservative. and he has built support with controversial figures such as Joe Rogan. according to the Los Angeles Times.

So basically she’s saying no more reality stars running LA, shocking 🙄
I don’t get why anyone thinks Spencer Pratt would be mayor. Like what experience does he have besides being on TV. LA is already messy enough.
But she said he could still win?? That part is confusing to me. If she thinks he’s not the right person, why acknowledge he has a shot like that. Also “Hollywood people on the West Side” like… aren’t they the ones always making everything worse lol.
Lisa Rinna is so fake political, she’s probably just saying it for attention. Didn’t she do some endorsement thing before? And Spencer Pratt gets “power behind him”?? Who even is backing him, like the city council or like some studio people. I heard somewhere he’s already mayor like last year so idk what timeline we in.
